Can I change the designs?
Yes, all of our annexe homes are bespoke. We show popular designs on our site to allow people to see the prices. We can offer any annexe size, layout and specification.
Do I need planning permission?
Yes, almost certainly. As our annexes have bedrooms, kitchens, etc, this means that they are a habitable dwelling. Permitted development does not cover this, regardless of the size of the garden. At Artisan Annexe, we offer a full planning service. Learn More

How long will my annexe last?
At Artisan, we have spent years perfecting the building design to ensure that, like any other traditional building, if looked after, your new annexe will last for generations to come.
Are annexes warm in Winter?
Certainly! Our annexe buildings use the highest performance insulation to ensure that they are highly efficient. They are warm in winter and stay cool in summer.
Do I pay separate council tax?
No. The annexe will be connected to the same services as the host dwelling and is therefore classed as ancillary accommodation and part of the same dwelling.
How long do they take to build?
Depending on the size, construction of your new annexe will take approximately 6-10 weeks.
